Graceland! Elvis! A very fun place to visit. We took the free shuttle bus from the Rock 'N' Soul Museum (it also stops at Sun Studios); a great way to travel. We were very fortunate that there were no crowds, and we had excellent views of everything at Graceland. And we heard tons of great Elvis music. The mansion wasn't as over-the-top as we expected. It seemed like a place where there was a lot of love and a lot of fun. It's definitely worth a visit for Elvis fans.
Sun Studios is also worth a visit. This is where Elvis made his first recordings, and we stood on the spot where he stood while recording. Others who recorded here include Jerry Lee Lewis (who started as a studio piano player), Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins.
One can't come to Memphis and not see the Peabody Hotel ducks. We saw them this morning come out of the elevator from their rooftop home and make a beeline to the lobby fountain. They spend every day from 10-5 in the fountain.
