We've enjoyed our few days with my brother at his new house in Oakmont, between Santa Rosa and Sonoma. Quail and deer visit daily, hanging out on the lawn and under trees right next to his house and on the patio. One day a deer came right to the sliding door and left a snout mark! She would have walked right into the living room if the door had been open. Occasionally rabbits, mallards, egrets, and other animals come by.
